Getting started with superAEO

From install to your first AI visibility report in a few minutes of setup.

Install the app

Getting started takes one click. From the superAEO listing on the Shopify App Store, click Add to Shopify and approve the permissions superAEO requests. Every scope we ask for is read-only, and we only request what we need to understand how your store shows up in AI answers:

  • Your products
  • Your collections
  • Your store content (pages and online store content)
  • Your themes
Your data stays yours: superAEO never accesses customers, orders, or payment data. We have no permission to, and we never will. We only read the public-facing catalog and content that AI engines themselves can see.

Automatic setup

There are no spreadsheets to fill in and no onboarding wizard to grind through. The moment you install, superAEO sets itself up for you:

  • It auto-detects your brand name from your store name and domain — the same way a shopper or an AI engine would identify you.
  • It reads your product catalog and collections to understand what you sell and how it's organized.
  • It auto-generates a starter set of buyer prompts — about 5 of them — drawn straight from your catalog. These are the kinds of real questions shoppers ask AI engines when they're looking for products like yours.

Each generated prompt is tagged with a funnel stage (so you can see whether it reflects early-stage discovery or a buyer ready to purchase), and a prompt may also be tied to a specific collection so you can track visibility category by category.

Review your setup

Everything superAEO detects is a starting point, not a cage. Before you run your first analysis, take a moment to make it yours:

  • Edit the detected brand name if the auto-detected version isn't exactly how you'd like to be recognized.
  • Add competitors to benchmark against, so you can see how your visibility stacks up. Pro tracks up to 5 competitors; Max tracks up to 10.
  • Edit, add, or remove prompts up to your plan limit. Pro supports up to 10 prompts; Max supports up to 20.
Tip: The auto-generated prompts are a solid baseline, but you know your buyers best. Tweaking even one or two prompts to match how your customers actually phrase things makes your scores far more meaningful.

Run your first analysis

When your setup looks right, start the analysis. This kicks off the full pipeline behind superAEO: it saves your prompts, queries all 5 AI engines — ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and DeepSeek — scores your AI readiness, generates a gap report, and builds your improvement plan.

The whole run takes roughly 3 to 5 minutes. You don't have to sit and watch it: you can navigate away or close the tab, and your progress is saved.

  1. Open the app from your Shopify admin.
  2. Review your prompts and make any final edits to your brand, competitors, or prompt list.
  3. Start the analysis to launch the pipeline across all five engines.
  4. Wait or leave — it finishes in a few minutes, and your results are saved whether you stay or come back later.

What to expect next

Your first Visibility Score appears on the dashboard right after the first run completes. That's your baseline — a clear, statistically grounded read on how often AI engines mention and cite your brand for the prompts that matter.

From there, tracking runs automatically every day, building the history superAEO needs to spot trends and shifts. Your first weekly gap report arrives once there's about 7 days of data behind it, when there's enough signal to draw confident conclusions.

Everything described here is unlocked during your 3-day free trial — the full Pro experience, no feature held back.

Tip: Tracking runs automatically every day. You don't have to press anything or remember to check in — superAEO keeps measuring in the background and surfaces what's changed.
